The tenth factsheet of the RIVEAL project continues a series of information documents introducing the ecosystem services provided by rivers and riparian vegetation considered for analysis in the project’s tasks. This factsheet – Riparian forests – features woody plant communities of semi-terrestrial habitats between terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems providing multiple ecosystem services, from the various ecosystem services categories: Provisioning, Regulating and maintenance, Cultural, and Intermediate services (also known as Supporting services).
